How do I get more flexible or mobile?

Often, the capacity for our body to perform a certain action is measured by the structural freedom and safety your nervous system detects. Your nervous system is always scanning for threats to your safety. If you have a muscle that is restricted by a fascial adhesion, trying to stretch it might signal danger to your nervous system. It will contract to prevent tissue damage and the time you spent stretching will have been wasted. If you’re working on flexibility and mobility, you could be doing all the right stretches, in all the right intervals and you still might not be getting the results you’re looking for. It might be because of structural limitations. I specialize in finding those limitations and unwinding them so your body doesn’t have to protect itself from overstretching and instead can trust the structures to move around each other.
