Knee Pain
Knee pain can feel like a problem with the knee itself. But sometimes, the knee is simply where the strain is showing up.
Humans evolved to move across uneven, varied terrain for hours each day. Our feet and legs had to constantly adapt to changes in surface, slope, and direction. Modern life asks much less of them. We sit more, drive more, and spend much of the time we do walk on flat, predictable surfaces in shoes that provide a lot of support.
Over time, the feet can lose some of their strength and adaptability. When they don’t absorb and distribute forces as well, more of that stress can travel up the chain into the calves, knees, and hips. The knee may end up taking more load than it was designed to handle.
Rolfing Structural Integration looks beyond the painful area to understand how your whole body is organizing around movement. By improving how your feet, legs, and pelvis work together, we can help your knees move with greater support and efficiency.
Living life is a lot better when you can move without being in pain.
